Marc Pilkington is currently teaching at the Business School of the University of
Exeter in the United Kingdom. He is part of a dedicated teaching team offering the
transdisciplinary module, Bitcoin, Money and Trust (BEE3109). Marc has been
Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Burgundy, France since
2012. In 2021-22, he was Associate Professor of Business Administration at Epoka
University, Albania where he served as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and
Administrative Science (FEAS).


He is a distinguished Fellow of British Blockchain Association and an advisory
member of the Centre for Evidence-based Blockchain, United Kingdom. He is
Associate Editor-in-Chief of Journal of British Blockchain Association. He owns
the limited liability company Moldova Tours 2.0 SRL in the Republic of Moldova.
This small innovative company that he founded in 2015 operates in the field of
consulting and tourism 2.0.


Marc’s interests lie in blockchain technology, monetary macroeconomics, tourism
in post-soviet countries, comparative higher education systems (India and France).
His research papers on blockchain are widely cited in the academic literature.
